It sticks in my mind though as it had a) a very British humor -the constant chat back and forward between Bodie and Doyle, b) the pseudo realist training and driving skills segements they would use, and c) it was to my just-arrived-in-UK eyes, one of my first experiences seeing the archetypal hard Scotsman -the CI5 boss Gordon Cowley -played fantastically out of character by the usually mild Gordon Jackson.
The second documentary clip ends with a set piece that is burned in my mind; Bodie and Doyle race towards each other and try to stop as close as they can. How close can partners get?? Paging Dr. Freud...

Companion piece to follow on 'Who Dares Wins'? The performance from the leading man - Bodie from 'The Professionals' - is described on imdb as "Bond-style".
I remember the furore when Lewis Collins was (falsely? Fact check needed) outed. It was the British equivalent of finding out that one half of the Starsky & Hutch bromance was gay.
"Not that there's anything wrong with that" [J. Seinfeld] but a shock to my 12 year old system in 1982...
