Rufflentuck did the heavy lifting here... I sent her some #4 canvas, (the same exact stuff that is used to make the
TB&W junk bags) and she made some ties for me. They are roughly edged/overlocked in blue or white thread, and cut to include the blue guidelines of the canvas on the tips. You need some
ummph to pull the bow through but after tied once it gets easier. Does not slip that is for sure...
Have to pick your battles with these, but liking them with
busted up shirts. What else would work as rugged bow tie material; a butcher's stripe apron? use up an old western/hunting shirt? some Johnson wool? Giving these ideas away for free here...
