The guys at RAW hunkered down on Somerville Ave have broken with their own tradition slightly and released a modified logo. They must have been itching to do this edited-R for a while; so good. Like all their stuff, keeping it super simple and clean. More on the Home Field Advantage set here.

raw -loyalty over royalty

Loyalty over royalty... killer phrasing. New, don't tread style release from RAW.
If that is too subtle, try a good old icon-R.

that back to school look -grommit edition

Jacket: Bemidji Lil' Paul Bunyan Jacket
Skully: RAW beanie; carve, slash, grind.
Dungarees: Roundhouse. Dungarees may seem cute and all for kids, but sort of a pain to deal with to be honest... Good in hard times when it comprises your whole outfit... no need for shirt or anything else.
Shirt: Cotton, oxford cloth type from LLBean.
Shoes: Hush Puppies. Bridgeport.
Bookbag: Have an old, small EMS but not big enough for lunch/cars/pens/etc. The kid chose a standard issue LLBean.

something old something new
My childhood Izod windcheater (obvious rip on a Baracuta). Had the zipper replaced, will be waiting for the kid next year maybe. Had a bunch of my ancient Lacoste polos in a box too but a mouse seems to have died in there. No, airing them out did not help...

Below shirt from a local shop, RAW's Assemble & Conquer. Like their ethos of inclusion... Again, not a huge skater myself but no doubt the kid will get into it. Serious, heavy-duty print on chest.

Sidenote: something old something new was the name of a thrift store in Manchester VT about 25 years ago... good stuff.
