The Bemidji Woolen Mills was founded in 1920 by father and son Ira Preston and Ira Hubert Batchelder who set out to produce high quality woolen apparel for the early logging era in Minnesota and surrounding states. The market area was mainly Northern Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin.
Just discovered Bemidji via V.B. Holcombe and Sons. Same sort of resource as Johnson Woolen Mills I guess. Data mining below. (I want that hat...)

I went to camp in Bemidji, MN for many years and all the kids would make their counselors buy those hats for them when they went into town. We all looked like Elmer Fudd. Years later on the FIRST day of college, I was walking through campus and noticed someone wearing one, thinking how long it had been since I had seen one of those hats. I went up to talk to the dude about it and when I got closer, noticed it was someone from my bunk at camp. We couldn't believe we found each other because of a hat. Wild.
