pella -dearborn jacket

This may be my Detroit replacement; just not wild on Carhartt's newer (2002?) cut and nylon-lined arms.

Below, duck jacket in classic brown or black, style name Dearborn; from Pella.

12 ounce "plied yarn" 100% cotton duck.
60% acrylic/40% polyester blanket lining [in arms too? checking on that -ed.]
Brass front zipper.
Zippered chest pocket on right, so out of the way of embroidery.
Inside security pocket, and two set-in lower front pockets.
Bi-swing back.
Adjustable sleeve cuffs and waist take-ups.
Corduroy collar.
Made in the USA at their New Sharon, Iowa factory.

Thanks to CWAC for the find.

Why is "plied yarn" in quotes? Need a definition, or doubt that it's actually plied?

Hey there,

So this post is from 2 years ago, but I am currently choosing between the Pella Dearborne and the Carhartt Detroit jacket. Can you expand on the difference in cuts between the two jackets? I'm looking for one that is slimmer than the other.

Thanks!
