This blue, double-vinyl release contains some of the most sought after Smiths demos (some might be alternate master versions) and instrumentals, including an extended version of "The Queen Is Dead(1)"; "Frankly, Mr. Shankly(2)" with horns; "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out(3)" with the final refrain "there is a light in your eyes and it never goes out"; and "Death Of A Disco Dance(4)" with the improvised whistled solo as noted in Simon Goddard book. The two instrumentals are "I Misses You(5)" and "Heavy Track(6)".TTL has previews of all the trackls, so fire on over. Audiophiles won't apppreciate the compressed/clipped mono but fans have been chomping for this...
1) Have haunted the TTL site for a few years and they have great stuff. Their homegrown compilation cds are killer too. 2) This post prompted by Selectism's find of a The Smiths Rough Trade restoration/recreation -further reading @ SmithsRecycle. SmithsRecycle also reviewed the Unreleased Demos double lp.
