Couldn't find the right hat; something Kromer-ish no doubt, but the straight brim has me foxxed. Charles Shulz was from the twin cities, (Charlie Brown first appeared in the St. Paul Pioneer Press(1)) so I am guessing most of Chuck's gear would be from the midwestern states. Bemidji Wool (MN) coat of some kind, Carhartt's (MI) and Red Wing boots (MN). Utilitarian cool from young Charles Brown. Now where is that red headed girl...Sidenote; found a great handknit Charlie Brown-ish sweater for overkill via Joven Kids.

I was just watching that off TIVO last night and thinking how I had all the components of Charlie's outfit too.
Being on the short side will help the homage too.
You ever notice what a jerk Snoopy is? Talk about an ungrateful dog. He's especially repugnant in the Christmas special the way he treats Charlie Brown. God I hate Snoopy. Worst dog ever.
Chuck's hat's still a mystery to me. At first I thought for sure it was a Stormy. Nope. Then I thought it was a Filson Mackinaw. Nope. What the hell is it?
