Great to see AB in the kitchen and using his pull to host a handful of bold faced names doing the simple things very very well. Jaques Pepin making an omelette (you know why you should crack eggs on the table??), Scott Conan making tomato sauce for pasta (liked this bit more than I expected), Thomas Keller plainly roasting a chicken (let the bird come up to room temp, an excuse to buy butcher's twine); and the thread of the episodes is AB making beef bourguignon (which I need to do... this weekend). Was not as crazy about part 1 myself but try 2&3 below...
