Good clean fun with the whole street down at the municipal pool this weekend, and these water torpedo things (called Toypedos; nice work marketing dept...) were the absolute jam. Simply cruises in the water. Remember the first time you threw an Aerobie and the thing just went forever...anyone?? Anyway, sort of like that. Plus it sinks as it stops moving forward so diving hilarity ensues. #recommend.

@mitch i can see that... they are sort of hefty. i can never get the potato guns to work for me. just get clogged up.
Had one of those torpedoes on fourth of July. Took me 15 minutes to figure it out. Damn booze. A lot of fun though, once we got it going.

in re: potato guns: yeah, the quality really fell off when production moved overseas :)
Mine always worked great...what kind of spud were you using? I had good results w/russets. #troubleshootingpotatoguns
I keep expecting a whimsical molecular gastronomy chef to use one to shoot little potato pellets into hot frying oil or something.
