Love generic or own-brands generally... that's the cheapskate in me probably, but really get a charge when they are equal to or better than the name-brand. Yes kids, there really was generic BEER just like in Repo Man (and it sucked). I don't know much about the history or politics of the climbing industry but out of pure xenophobia (locals rule etc) I like Eastern Mountain Sports; the idea of EMS at least. Love the paired down, own-brand, does what is says on the box aesthetic.
